Bloomin Tuesday

Every year I look forward to the first blooms of the season.  While all the other roses in my garden are budding up right now ‘Morning Magic’ beat them to the punch.  It’s a climber that I have planted on my metal arch in the Arbor Garden.  Pretty soon it will be mass of these pretty pink and yes fragrant blossoms.  Now ‘Snow Queen’ and Dr Ruppel were not the first Clematis to bloom this spring since ‘Niobe’ beat them by a week.  But they were the first to green up so they will get a honorable mention in this post.  Their looking pretty lovely growing together on the shed trellis.  The unknown yellow Iris and purple Iris are definitely the first of the Irises to bloom this season.  They both were pass-a-longs from two of my generous neighbors years ago.  Another first is this ‘Purple Sensation’ Allium that is starting to open in the raised garden bed out front.  All my other alliums are budding up but this is the first bloom.
