New Bloom!

Asiatic Lily 'Tango Ladylike'

This was a new addition to the Arbor Garden bed this spring.  I’m loving the variety of tones from yellow to orange to red.  The name is fun as well.  When I bought this new Asiatic Lily it was full of buds just waiting to burst open.  Here’s some more info on this great new Lily:

  • Plant in full sun to partial shade
  • Height of 36-48″, width of 10-15″
  • Will tolerate alkaline, acidic or neutral soil
  • Will tolerate clay, loam or sandy soil
  • Prefers a well drained soil
  • Fragrant flowers in late spring-early summer
  • Works in a container or mixed border
  • Hardy in zones 4-8

  2. It’s beautiful. Every spring I say I am going to get some Asiatic Lilies, but it ends there. Perhaps this will be the year I act.

Thanks Les, you really should add some, their so easy to grow. 🙂

  4. Charlie and I just got back from Walmart and they had some very similar to yours…in mass on the shelf. What a striking bloom!!!

Did you get any plants while you were there Janet? Thanks! 🙂

  5. This is so beautiful, Racquel! I added my first Asiatic lily last year, and loved it so much that I want to add a few more this year. By the way, your freshly mulched and edged beds look terrific.

They are great additions to the garden Rose, they get more and more blooms every year. Thanks! 🙂
