Today I thought I would share the current white blooms in my garden. Galtonia candicans (Summer Hyacinth) and Zephyranthes candida (Fairy Lily) were new bulb additions to the Hydrangea bed this past spring. As you can see ‘Limelight’ is in full glory at the moment. It just begs for attention everytime I walk outside. The white Scaevola was added to the ceramic wall planters I found at Big Lot’s last fall. Hopefully I’ll get the shed painted this fall and then these accents will really pop. Look at the Giant Hyssop, that’s the top of my 6′ privacy fence behind it! It finally decided to grace me with some blooms. To see more Bloomin’ Tuesday posts or to join in this week please visit our gracious host Jean @ Ms Greenthumb.

The flowers all glow in your garden Racquel. Your Limelight is awesome. It must be most happy as are all your blooms. White never looked better.
Thanks Tina. I’m really loving all the white blooms this summer. 🙂

The flowers you selected are in shades of white – beautiful blooms as pure as snow.
Isn’t it a cooling effect this deep into summer? Thanks Autumnbelle. 🙂

I wish my Fairy Lilly (I call them Rain Lillies) would bloom. They all bloomed in late spring, but have dried to nothing the last couple of months. Maybe with the small amount of rain we just received, they’ll come back. Does the Summer Hyacinth have that familiar Hyacinth fragrance?
Aiyana
We’ve been getting small afternoon showers this week which has prompted a bloom or two. I hope yours respond in the same way after your small rainfall. Nope no scent and the blooms remind me more of the spring Snowdrops but on a much larger scale. 🙂

Beautiful blooms – and from your picture you can see why “limelight” earns her name – she certainly steals the show.
K
Thanks Karen, yep she definitely is a ‘diva’ in the garden. 😉

Beautiful white flowers. That last flower, the Giant White Hyssop, certainly earns its name doesn’t it?
Thanks Linda, it really is a giant plant with a less than giant bloom. 🙂

Thank you for leaving a comment on my Bloomin’ Tuesday blog post. It was my first “theme” post.
You are quite welcome Linda. Thanks for joining in this week. 🙂

Love your white! Funny how we tend to forget how showy white can be. I use so much yellow and red, I am one of those I’m afraid. I planted white profusion zinnas in with the yellow and orange and it just pops! Great pictures Racquel!
Thanks Linda. I’m loving the white so much I want to add more punches throughout the yard next year. Plus it’s neutral so it goes with everything. I bet your White profusion zinnias look great with the yellow & orange ones. 🙂

Racquel … I love the all white theme and wow on “Limelight” !!
I do have to say that Quick Fire is amazing with such early flowers for me though .. all the rest are coming up to speed .. Little Lamb is bloated ? with flowers : )
Very pretty post girl ! : )
Thanks Joy, I’m glad you enjoyed the white theme today. Isn’t Limelight a treat? 😉 I’m still waiting for ‘Pinky Winky’ to bud up, but she’s grown alot since planting last fall. Can’t wait to see all your blooms on Little Lamb.

Lovely as always….that white is beautiful isn’t it?
Thanks Darla. It really does give a cooling effect to the July garden. 🙂

I love your Limelight. Every year I think about adding one, and every year there is just so much other stuff that gets priority. Maybe this fall.
Marnie
Thanks Marnie. I hope you find one this fall to add to your garden, you won’t regret it. 🙂

That limelight looks fabulous. Wish mine did!
Thanks Susie, as yours matures it will be fabulous too. 🙂

I ended up with more white blooms than I had intended this summer, but I’m enjoying the luminous white and dark green foliage very much! Your white blooms are beautiful, Racquel.
Hi Nancy, I tried stopping by your blog but it was blank except for the header. Thanks, I’m enjoying more white blooms this year in my garden as well. It’s a color I need to add more of that’s for sure. 🙂

Super blooms!! Your hydrangea is really making a big, wonderful presence in your garden. With all the rain we have had, mine is hanging over and drooping. 😦
Thanks Janet. I’m amazed how well this Hydrangea stands up to the rain & wind. Sorry to hear about yours being droopy, at least it’s getting all that moisture they love. 🙂

Your hydrangea is absolutely incredible. So beautiful. I love white in a garden. It not only steals the show at times, but can make everything pop around it. Really beautiful photos this week!
Why thank you Suzanne. It really is a scene stealer at this time of the year. 😉 I agree, the white just pops in the garden, especially at night.

White flowers are my fave. I always wanted to do a white garden. That hydrangea knocked my socks off! H.
I’ve always considered putting in a White Garden myself Helen. Somewhere close to the patio so I can enjoy it at nightfall. 🙂 Thanks!

You have to LOVE a white flower, so pure and beautiful.
That is so true Dawn. 🙂

oooh, loving your white blooms Racquel! especially that giant white hyssop. You’re sure to draw every bee and butterfly around with that!
Thanks Kathleen. It really is a butterfly & bee magnet right now. 🙂

Me too Donna. 🙂

Thank you for stopping by my blog:) Yes, I do stake my glads so they don’t fall over when the blooms reach the top.
You are quite welcome Elena. Thanks, I was wondering since I couldn’t tell from the photos. They had a natural look to them. 🙂

Racquel — do you have a “moon garden” with all those whites? I’ll bet your white blooms glow in the dark! I’ve still not found a white agastache around here, but had to move the ‘purple haze’ from my cottage garden out to the butterfly garden as they were hovering around 5 feet high. I’ll have to pinch those back in the spring next year to limit the height.
Cameron
No, but I wish I did. 🙂 The Limelight blossoms literally glow in the dusk & early evening hours. I’ll have to keep that in mine for my Giant Hyssop next year too (pinching it back).

My Limelight is SOOOO close to blooming! Thanks so much for posting your pics of it, it makes my mouth salivate. LOL! I’m also a huge lover of white. What other kinds do you have planted that aren’t necessarily blooming right now? I planted the Crazy Daisy and it is…crazy huge.
How exciting Heather, I know you just can’t wait for it to bloom now that you’ve seen mine in all its’ glory. 🙂 I also have some White Cosmos, Shasta Daisies, Buddleia and Angelonia blooming at the moment too. Then there are the past white blooms of Alliums, Viburnums, Hostas and Sweet Woodruff. Oh the Crazy Daisy is a unique bloom huh? 😉

Hi Racquel! Your pictures show, once again, how beautiful white blooms can be! Even my daisies, growing in a big group, make a nice display. I will add your plants to my list. Thank you!
Hi Tatyana. Masses of white blooms can be breathtaking in the garden, especially an all white or moonlight garden. You are quite welcome, glad I could add a few more to your must have list. 🙂

Racquel, your whites are lovely and with the heat look cool and inviting. The summer hyacinth is really unusual, but pretty, and Limelight seems to be out doing it’s self this year. After seeing your whites, I realize I have very little except in containers. Maybe I need to think about adding some to my gardens.
That’s what I think too Beckie (the cooling effect in this heat). Yep Limelight does seem to get better & better every year. 🙂 Don’t think you would regret adding more of this simple color to your garden.

Love all the whites! I’ve been adding some white to my garden lately. My limelight is just starting to make blooms. I can’t wait until it is full! Jean
Thanks Jean, I bet you are really excited to see the blooms on your Limelight. 🙂

You just made me want to add more white flowers to my garden. Lovely flowers.
Glad I could enable you Stella, lol. 😉 Thanks!
