Skywatch Friday (last day of 2008)

dscn3657The sun shines brightly before sunset December 31, 2008.  This will be the last dusk of the year.

The sky is a gorgeous shade of blue inspite of the ominous clouds creeping onto the horizon.  The weather is crisp & windy.

Nice to look up now and again! Our clouds here come in sheets instead of nice puffs like yours.

I love seeing the variety of patterns the clouds make here on a winter’s day Karen. How interesting that your skies look so different from mine right now. 🙂

  6. A setting sun on the old year is kind of symbolic isn’t it? Your dusk photos are wonderful. Lots of promise for good weather ahead.

It is rather symbolic Tina. Gives some food for thought as one year ends & another begins. Hopefully that is a good sign!

  8. Beautfiul sky Racquel! These past few days we have had some really pretty sun rises. It has been nice to be home to enjoy them.

Thanks Linda! 🙂 The winter really provides some interesting skies to gaze upon which is nice with not much going on in the garden at the moment. I’m glad you are able to be home to enjoy the sun rises. I normally don’t get up in time to see the sun rise, lol.

  9. Oh so beautiful Racquel! I love how the sun feels so warm shining on you on a cold winter day!

Thank you Susie. It does look warm when it’s shining so brightly but it was darn chilly out there. 🙂

  16. That’s a beautiful sky to end the year with. Kind of wondering about the weather, it was in the 50’s and 70’s today. Cold will probably get us in Feb. and March.

We have had freezing rain last night and this morning .. very tricky . We are lucky none of us have to travel far or even go out of the house today .. I really like the way your wrap up looks : )

Hi Joy, that’s okay. 🙂 I’m glad you loved the photos of the sky. It was a beautiful last day of the year. Yep that sounds like some tricky weather, good day to stay close to home. Thanks!
