I’ve never been a fan of the moon for the reasons pointed out in the poem. I like bright and clearly stated. The moon is moody. When I look at the sun, I know I’m going to be hot or happy. When you look at the moon, you have to ponder on it to know how you feel.

I love the moonlight and am glad it is nearly full now. When I was in Saudi it seemed the moon was RIGHT overhead because it was so big and bright all the time. Probably because of the desert air and no lights anywhere. Nice picture indeed.

I love looking at the moon at night, especially when it’s a full moon.
Just read yesterday’s post; I’ll have to try this recipe–I’m running out of ways to use yellow squash:)

Great shot! Since Saturn is my ruling planet dark and moody take on a different meaning for me … I also love thunderstorms!

Thanks for your comment on my blog. The perennial garden was lots of fun to plan and make. Now to sit back and watch the flowers grow and I hope lots of butterflies and hummingbirds and hummingbird moths and other creatures!!

Wonderful photo!
I’ve been a bit put-out at the moon the past few days, myself. We actually had clear night skies and for the first time in years I went into the countryside to watch the Perseid meteor shower. That ol’ moon lit up the sky so much I might as well have stayed in the city! (BTW, it’s not too late to see the Perseid meteor shower, for those who are interested).

I always go out and try and see the moon. I especially love a “Harvest Moon!” Even though we are in a neighborhood in the suburbs, we have a pretty good view.

I love your philosophy about gardening and share it with you. I too had rather be outside with my hands in the dirt than inside.
The recipe below looked wonderful, too. People are always trying to figure out what they can do with their abundance of zucchini.

That's how the sky was when I went on a cruise last year Tina. The stars were so much brighter than at home. No street lights & bustling city to compete with all that beauty. Thanks! 🙂

Thanks Linda, I find my quotes from quotegarden.com. They have quotes for all seasons & wonderful garden sayings as well. The moon was especially pretty last night and my son got this picture for me. The street lights gave it this nice blurry effect.

I love the picture.I always like sky pictures. I used to live in a busy little town, with lots of trees and overhead wires. When I moved here, I couldn’t believe how “big” the sky looked at night. We have no street lights or overhead anything.

What a great photograph!!! I actually enjoy the moonlight, especially what we always called full harvest moons in the fall when the glow from the moonlight filters through the window blinds late at night. Wonderful poem!

You are lucky Balisha. It is hard to get a great picture of the sky with streetlights glaring in the photo. When we had our last hurricane come through here 4 years ago and lost power for 2 weeks, I couldn't believe how dark it could get and how bright the stars could be.
