Summer came on us quickly this season with temps in the upper 90′s as early as May and a lack of rain as well. June has been just as warm with some relief by way of evening showers this past week. The grass has taken the brunt of it, the gardens are doing well inspite of this wacky weather. Hope you enjoy my tour of my back gardens this month. Have a nice weekend everyone.

Loved the tour the arbor garden looks like an inviting place to enjoy all the work you put into your garden.
Thanks Rosemary, it is one of my favorite garden beds I must admit.

Things are looking good there! I really like those blue pots! Hope the veggies continue to develop well & that you get the needed rain.
Thanks Rebecca, those blue pots are plastic tubs I got at the dollar store. Cheap & easy gardening.

Enjoyed the tour, Racquel! The early heat has certainly jump-started a lot of plants, including the weeds for me. But your gardens all look so neat and tidy and so lush.
Thanks Rose, glad you enjoyed the tour. Thanks for the compliments, but believe me the weeds are there if you look closer.

Great tour Racquel. You must be good with the computer to put together the slide shows you do plus that cool graphic around the outside?!! I’m scared to even attempt something like that.
Glad you are getting some rain now. Hopefully your temps will moderate a bit too. I am always anxious for heat but not going straight from winter to summer.
Your gardens are looking amazing. Have a great weekend too.
It’s really not hard Kathleen. I used http://www.slideshow.com to make this, it works with any blog host. Summers here are normally hot and dry, so I’m grateful for the rain and occasional moderate temps.
Thanks Kathleen!

ps Sorry to hear your Emerurus hasn’t ever bloomed. Do you think you get too much rain there? That’s the one thing that comes to mind off the bat….
Hmm…thanks for that tip Kathleen.
