I’m pretty pleased with how this container looks since I just scattered some seeds of White & Yellow Profusion Zinnias and Sweet Alyssum and the arrangement is perfect. 🙂
Now talk about a complimentary color combination, hot orange Asiatic Lilies and deep purple Liatris make a striking presence together.
I hope the Daylily ‘Colorful Summer’ that is in bud (right behind the Drumstick Alliums) open soon. They should look pretty combined with the Alliums. That Pink ‘Peace’ Rose is pretty as well. Oops I missed some deadheading this week.
Look how many blooms are on the Echinacea ‘Sundown’ right now! So happy with this perennial coneflower. To see more Bloomin’ Tuesday posts or to join in this week please visit our host Jean @Ms Greenthumb.

I do love your combinations! The orange and purple — a favorite color combo of mine, too. My echinacea ‘Sundown’ are in full bloom in the company of crocosmia. Those hummingbirds were sitting on the crocosmia this morning to drink up the nectar. If you don’t have crocosmia, I can send you some corms when I divide it next spring. Remind me!
Thanks Freda, one of my favorite color combos too. 🙂 I bet that’s a pretty combo (Echinacea & Crocosmia). I have a few, but their red, but yes I would love some more. I’ll try to remember to remind you, lol

Love all your plants – very colorful! And i especially like the Sundown color of the coneflower. I have some allium but have never heard them called drunstick allium…it fits perfectly!

Hi Raquel,
I can’t believe how nice that zinnia/alyssum container looks! You really have a green thumb with seeds.
I love the bright orange/purple — that is one of my favorite color combos.
Or I just got lucky Zoey. 😉 Yep it’s one of my favorite combos too.

Racquel, The orange and purple combo is lovely. Can’t believe you just scattered seeds to come up with such a nice pot. Love seeing some of your gardens. Jean
Thanks Jean, it’s my favorite color combo. Yep I can’t believe how the pot turned out either. Got lucky I guess. 🙂

The orange and purple combo is fabulous Racquel. I can’t believe you just scattered seeds in your container and came up with that! It would never happen here that way!!!!
ps I saw a white bleeding heart combined with orange iris the other day (in someone elses garden) and it really popped too. I thought of that when I saw your liatris and lilies.
Thanks Kathleen. I got really lucky with this random pot of annuals, huh? Yep I love it when I just put the perfect color combos together in the garden. 🙂

You have some lovely combinations, Racquel. I’m impressed that your container started from seeds–it looks as good as if you had bought starts already in bloom.
Thanks Rose. Well that’s a nice compliment about my container, I did get awful lucky with how pretty it turned out. 🙂

Very nice gardens! Your hard work pays off. And I love the purple liatris with the orange lilies. A very eye-catching display.
Thanks Diane, the purple Liatris & orange lilies did seem to be very popular in this post. 🙂
